    I love homemade salad dressings. For me, a good salad recipe is all about the dressing! One of my family's favorite dressings is ranch - especially buttermilk ranch. But, bottled dressings can't compare to the taste of dressing made from scratch.

    Homemade buttermilk ranch dressing is incredibly flavorful. This is not like any bottled dressing you have ever tried before, I promise. It's so delicious, you'll feel like you can drink it straight out of the bowl. Seriously! I've been tempted before!

    If you love ranch as much as I do - or just love salad dressing in general - you need to try this easy ranch dressing recipe. It's so simple to make in just 5 minutes using fresh or dry herbs.

    • buttermilk
    • Greek yogurt or sour cream
    • mayonnaise
    • olive oil
    • minced garlic
    • salt and pepper

    1. Chop fresh herbs and mince garlic.

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 cup buttermilk
    • ½ cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
    • ¼ cup mayonnaise
    • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 cloves garlic minced
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • ¼ teaspoon pepper
    • 1 Tablespoon each of chopped Dill, Chives, and Parsley
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

    Instructions
     

    • Combine all ingredients in a large mason jar and stir together. Close lid tightly and shake well to finish mixing.

      Found myself with a large salad and no Ranch so thought I'd look up the recipe, see if I could make it myself. Low and behold this delicious, easy recipe that calls for ingredients (or easy substitutes) most of us have on hand already. Hacked the buttermilk (who has real buttermilk?) Only had fresh chives. Substituted dry for the other herbs (parsley, 1tsp and tarragon 1tsp didn't have dill). SO GOOD
