Homemade red enchilada sauce uses less than 10 ingredients (including the spices!) and takes 10 minutes to make! It's an easy, versatile sauce recipe that has plenty of flavor. 

Enchilada Sauce Ingredients

- olive oil - all-purpose flour - chili powder - onion powder - garlic powder - ground cumin - dried oregano - vegetable broth - tomato paste

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add flour and whisk until well-blended, then add all your spices.

Step 2

Pour in the vegetable broth very slowly, while whisking. If there are any big lumps, add more vegetable broth as necessary. Then, add tomato paste.

Step 3

Whisk until completely smooth, then bring to a simmer until slightly thickened.

Step 4

Remove from the heat, serve, and enjoy!
