Stir in butter and mix well until it melts. Then, add flour and stir until you can't see the flour anymore.
Gradually add milk and stir well. Let it cook a minute or two before adding more milk. When adding more milk, add it slowly and while stirring.
Let it cook another minute or so before adding maple syrup, salt and pepper, steak seasoning, and garlic powder.
Add red pepper flakes and allow it to bubble and thicken until it reduces into a gravy. When it sticks to the back of your spoon and is nice and thick.
