Notes

  • Feel free to dress up your coleslaw any way you'd like! Add more mayo to make it extra creamy, your own favorite flavor of vinegar, or even a quick shake of cayenne pepper for just a little bit of bite.
  • Bagged, pre-shredded coleslaw mix makes making homemade coleslaw a breeze! But if you'd prefer to make your own mix, it's super easy too- and you can mix and match your favorite vegetables to add in.
  • When using freshly shredded vegetables, make sure to wash the carrot shreds before using them in coleslaw. If you don't, the juices will turn the coleslaw bright orange and add a distinct sweet carrot flavor.
  • Don't be afraid to get creative with the cabbage! Any cabbage will do, be it green, purple, or something a little different like bok choy.
  • Make extra, and let it sit in the fridge. You'll be amazed at how creamy and delicious coleslaw gets as it rests!
