Ingredients
  

  • 4 roasted red peppers
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt or to taste

Instructions
 

  • Add roasted red peppers, crushed red pepper, olive oil, garlic, coriander, cumin, and sea salt to a food processor.

  • Blend to combine until creamy and smooth.

Notes

  • You can use harissa sauce immediately after making it, but for the best flavor allow it at least 1-2 days in the fridge.
  • Use a combination of chilies based on what's available to you. Using a combination of dried, fresh, and smoked chilies will help create a harissa paste with tons of flavor.
  • Easily store harissa sauce in an airtight container or mason jar, placed in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks. Add a thin layer of olive oil on top to help lengthen its shelf-life. Or, you can place it in the freezer for up to 1 month.
