What makes this gravy the best?
Loaded with rich caramelized onions in a luxurious brown gravy sauce, I know your family will love it as much as mine does!
– onion – garlic peeled and minced – vegetable oil – unsalted butter – all-purpose flour – chicken broth
Heat a skillet on the stove over medium heat and add vegetable oil. Once hot, add onion and cook, for about 10-15 minutes.
Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Push the onions and garlic to the side. Add butter to the center, and mix in flour. Continue to stir until the mixture becomes golden.
Slowly add broth. Then, mix the mixture with the onions and garlic, scraping up any brown bits. Bring the broth to a boil, then reduce to medium-low and simmer until it starts to thicken, about 15 minutes.
